SPINNING STARDUST

Spinning Stardust was commissioned by New Music Edmonton (NME) as part of a creative mentorship project supported by funds from the Edmonton Arts Council Connections and Exchanges program. For this project I had the honour of working with erψn temp3st to create this multidisciplinary work for harp, storytelling and fibre art that chronicles the adventures of one forest gnome who, armed with a spindle and some yarn spun from forest matter, dips his long, delicate toes into the world of fast fashion. It invites one to ponder where their body ends and where their clothes begin, and how what we wear has the power to transform us. Spinning Stardust was performed at Mile Zero Dance (MZD) on January 11, 2025. Listen here!
